Custom Flat Panel TV Install
Pete’s Pipe on Mitchell St. in Petoskey
Recently I installed two flat panel T.V.’s at Pete’s Pipe on Mitchell St. in downtown Petoskey. My friend Dan Cleary is a regular there and recommended me for the job.
Pete has a large walk in humidor with a sliding glass door, the door has two fixed glass panels on either side of the sliding door. Pete wanted to make the area in front of the entrance to the humidor a lounge where people can relax and enjoy their cigars. The problem was trying to maximize the space in the area. So what I ended up doing was having some 2 inch electrical conduit bent up at a local muffler shop so that I could bolt the TV’s to them. The conduits hang down in front of the fixed glass panels, the TV’s mount to the pipes and the cords run up the inside of the conduit and plug in on top of the humidor.
The result is a very clean looking install. Pete seems to be very happy with the work and has asked me to come back to fish in some outlets on a counter top he’s putting in for a coffee machine and refrigerator.
I’m sure this investment will pay off for him. Creating an environment that is inviting and relaxing for the customer will cause them to stay longer and spend more in his store.
