Kitchen Cabinet Lighting – Harbor View Lane, Petoskey

Cabinet lighting Today I did the rough in work for a kitchen remodel that my friend Matt Webster of Roots and Reverence LLC asked me to do. I fished in all the wiring in the walls so that no drywall damage would be visible.  The owners wanted plenty of light so in addition to the electrical outlets for the counter top, wine cooler, and ice maker I put in wiring for recessed can lights and low voltage xenon cabinet lighting. The wires hanging out of the wall in the picture are for all of the cabinet lights. Once the upper cabinets are set I can begin installing the lights to the under side and the inside of the cabinets.

When working in a finished home it’s important to leave the job as clean or cleaner than you found it. Matt and I put down drop cloths and took our shoes off when we were working on the job. Also we vacuum up any messes that get made from the process. You do not want your customers to have to clean up messes you’ve made after you leave.  Once the job is complete I’ll follow up with another post to show the finished product.
